Living Hope Philosophy

Our philosophy and model of ministry is designed to develop faithful followers of Christ from all ethnic groups whose passion is to glorify God. We believe that every Christian has been gifted by God and therefore every Christian expected to serve, using their gifts, talents, and resources to make the Church the unique community it was created to be both locally and globally, all for the glory of the name of Jesus Christ. Our hope is that our members will be so in love with their savior that it will result in the sharing of the love of God with their family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, that the name of Jesus Christ would be exalted. (Matt. 28:18-20, Matt. 5:16, Col. 1:28-29)

Our objective in fulfilling this philosophy and mission of ministry is expressed in several ways:

A) Worship and exaltation of the Triune God

As the Church of Jesus Christ, we believe that the primary goal of worship is to express to God the esteem His people hold for Him. Worship service is designed to be creative, marked by excellence, sensitive to seekers, and to challenge people to follow Christ. Worship must be edifying in that it spiritually refreshes, nurtures, and transforms. Authentic worships includes adoration, confession, thanksgiving, commitment, supplication, and proclamation of His word. (Psa. 96-96, Act. 5:42, Heb. 10:25)

B) Instruction / Education of the Word

As a church, we believe that the Bible is God's holy and inspired Word. It is our purpose to be an edifying and equipping center, teaching every member how to know from scripture the principles that determine biblical belief and practice, that they might live a life that is pleasing and glorifying unto God. (Act. 5:42, 17:11, II Tim. 3:16-17)

C) Fellowship / Edification of Believers

As a church, we believe that Christians need to build their faith. Therefore, fellowship opportunities between God's people have been designed to promote interpersonal caring and sharing with one another as an outgrowth of their personal fellowship with God. (John 13:35, Gal. 6:1-2, Heb. 3:12-13)

D) Evangelism

As a church, we believe that lost people are of primary concern to God. Therefore, we seek to continually and clearly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are spiritually lost with the intent of seeing them come to faith in Him. It is our desire to see every member actively and correctly sharing their faith. (Luk. 15, Act. 8:1-4, 20, 21) We believe that God has called us to reach the unsaved locally, nationally, and globally. We will achieve this, through the power of Christ, by supporting missions, encouraging members to participate in short-term missions, and by establishing new churches. (Act 1:8, 14:21-23)
